2am = 2pm
The same £95/hour rate runs through the night. No after-hours uplift, no on-call retainer to unlock it. You raise the Work Order when you need us; we attend.
No emergency surcharge. No bank holiday premium. No out-of-hours multiplier. Onboard once, raise a Work Order whenever you need us — your engineers get to sleep.

Same rate, same engineering standard. Useful for planned maintenance windows that have to fall outside your client's business hours.
Christmas Day work bills at £95/hour, same as a Tuesday afternoon. We're not closed on dates the data centres aren't.
An Urgent Work Order at 3am runs the on-call team but doesn't run a different bill. Same £95/hour, whether the rack is on fire or you're swapping a drive.
Examples, not limits. Anything on your runbook that needs hands on a rack at an antisocial hour.
scheduled · runbook · low-traffic
install · cable · verify · photos
port tests · cable trace · panel faults
drives · PSUs · DIMMs · diagnostics
cat6 · fibre · dressing · labelling
eyes · hands · runbook · IPMI
Two examples — same job, different bill, because everyone else bills the clock.
Planned firmware roll across a row of switches. Window has to fall on a Sunday at 2am because the client's traffic patterns demand it.
£190/hr nights & weekends.
Same £95/hour, any hour.
Drive failed on a production array. Engineer on call walks through replacement remotely — we're hands and eyes at the rack at 4am on a public holiday.
Triple-time uplift, common in the market.
No bank holiday premium. Ever.
whole-hour billing per engineer. No emergency surcharge. No VAT.
£95 /hour
Same rate at 2am as at 2pm. We won't exceed your estimate without approval.
The process at 3am is the process at 3pm. Everything lives in the Smart Hands Portal.
Sign up online to get Portal access. Sign the MSA inside the Portal — you only do this once, in office hours.
Site, scope, NTE — same form day or night. Urgent flags the on-call team; standard queues alongside planned work.
GPS-verified check-in. Take direction from your remote engineer or work the scope independently. Live photo updates to the Portal.
Photo evidence, time logs and a post-visit report waiting for the day team. Your engineers wake to a closed ticket.
Urgent Work Orders are reserved for onboarded clients with a signed MSA. Standard Work Orders cover planned maintenance and non-time-critical requests; both run on the same £95/hour rate.
Yes. £95/hour regardless of time, day, or date. No emergency surcharges, no bank holiday premiums, no out-of-hours multipliers.
Pay-as-you-go by default — you raise Work Orders when you need us and we invoice per job, no minimum commitment. We also offer retainer plans with a monthly allowance of services at preferential rates, ideal if you have regular out-of-hours requirements. Ask your account manager for details.
Response time depends on current availability and location — we'll give you a realistic ETA when you raise the Work Order rather than a vague promise. For Manchester data centres, we're typically on-site within the hour.
Yes. Scheduled maintenance at 2am is the same price as work at 2pm. Raise a Work Order with the window details and we'll confirm availability.
Same as any other Work Order — through the Smart Hands Portal. There's no separate process for out-of-hours work. Raise it, we respond.
